Types of Pogo pin and their uses

What is Pogo pin?

A Pogo pin is a device used in electronics to establish a connection between two printed circuit boards. The pogo pin usually takes the form of a slender cylinder containing two sharp, spring-loaded pins. Pressed between two electronic circuits, the sharp points at each end of the pogo pin make secure contacts with the two circuits and thereby connect them together.

Pogo Pin is spring loaded probe which is made by precision instruments with riveting workmanship. It usually consists of plunger, tube and spring.

Pogo pin is generally applied in the precision connection inside the electronics products such as mobile phones, communication devices, automotive, medical devices, aerospace devices and so on. Since pogo pin is very fine probe, it can make the finished connector light in weight, small in size and exquisite in look when it’s applied in a precision connector.

Type of Pogo pin

	SMT/SMD TYPE: Good stability, the bottom of the plunger for the flat design, easy and PCB board welding
	Though hole(DIP) type: Plunger tail with a positioning pin, and when it with PCB board welding, there will be no migration phenomenon, good positioning effect
	Right angle type: Tail bending, providing designers with more choices in the use of space
	Double head type: Double-headed design, so that engineers in the board-to-board two-way connection with more space flexibility
	Solder cup type: Applicable to the cable end, easy to wire and welding
	Screw thread type: Special specifications of the product to meet the different needs of customers, according to the needs of customers to customize
