A green factory refers to a factory that realizes intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production, recycling of waste, and low-carbon energy. Factories are the main body of green manufacturing. Evaluating green factories helps to set a benchmark in the industry. At the same time, it is also conducive to guiding and regulating factories to implement green manufacturing.

Zero Carbon Footprint Initiative – International Background

In 2014, the International Organization for Standardization released the IS014067 international standard for product carbon footprint. (referred to as ISO carbon footprint standard) It aims to reduce carbon footprint, protect natural resources, and achieve environmental benefits. In that case, leading companies such as Apple and Microsoft have promised the international community to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2030.

CFE- Zero Carbon Emission Plan 2050

“Net zero carbon emissions” comes from the Paris Agreement. Among them, Article 2.1.(a) stipulates that “the increase in global average temperature shall be controlled within 2°C above the pre-industrial level. And the goal of controlling it within 1.5°C shall be committed.” Up to now, 128 countries around the world have declared to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.As part of a social enterprise, CFE attaches great importance to environmental protection requirements in the daily production and manufacturing process. CFE strives to reach the overall goal of zero carbon emissions by 2050.

CFE Program of Action

Within CFE Group, the advocacy starts from me. Everyone is a communicator, participant, and practitioner. Lead colleagues and third-party manufacturers to take action together, and start preparing for the IS014064 greenhouse gas management system certification to achieve zero carbon emissions.
